Terms

Short, because there is not much to say.

What you are buying

A purchase on Illuminory is a personal, non-transferable licence to listen to that audiobook through the Illuminory apps, for as long as Illuminory runs. It is not a subscription and it does not expire. You may download it to as many of your own devices as you like, up to ten signed in at once.

What you may not do

Copy, resell, lend out, broadcast or redistribute the audio, or use it to train anything. The files are not locked; we trust you instead.

Payment

Payments are taken by Stripe, our merchant of record, in pounds, euro or dollars by where you are, with your country's tax added at the checkout. Your audiobook reaches your account as soon as you pay: by buying you agree to that immediate delivery and accept that your 14-day right to cancel ends once you start listening.

Refunds

Changed your mind? Within 14 days of buying, if you have not started the book (under fifteen minutes played and not finished), press Request refund at the bottom of your account page and we refund in full; if you cannot sign in, write to help@illuminory.com. Once you have started listening there is no refund for a change of mind; if the audio is faulty or not what was described, we fix it or refund it, whenever you tell us through the same form. A problem with the payment itself, a charge you do not recognise or one taken twice, goes to Stripe's Link support through the link on your receipt. A refund removes the book from your library.

Your account

Your account is your email address. Keep it to yourself; anyone who can read your email can sign in. You can delete the account at any time, and we can close an account used fraudulently.

Changes

Illuminory may change, and these terms may change with it; the current version is always at this address. Nothing we change takes away a book you have bought.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
